Position Summary: We are seeking a Senior Accountant who will play a pivotal role in our financial operations. This position requires a hands-on accounting expert with a strong foundation in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and effective communication. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the full cycle month-end closing processes and financial reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate precise and timely financial statements in alignment with established schedules, collaborating closely with the Accounting Team.
  • Oversee full cycle accounting, applying generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to assess financial data and prepare both external and management-focused financial reports.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including general journal entries, accruals, account analysis, and account reconciliations.
  • Lead the cost accounting function, which includes cycle count audits, standard cost roll processes, and preparation of inventory reserves and variances.
  • Prepare flash reports, quarterly profit and loss statements, balance sheet forecasts, and annual financial plans.
  • Assist in the Corporate internal audit process and support the Controller with various special projects.
  • Engage in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the establishment and execution of internal control guidelines and testing protocols.
  • Help develop internal financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Maintain well-organized documentation for journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Review and organize various accounting reports, providing constructive feedback to management.
  • Support the coordination of the annual budget and periodic forecasting activities.
  • Handle ad-hoc projects and reporting tasks as assigned.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to improving processes and outcomes while ensuring accuracy and effective communication in alignment with corporate reporting standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Accounting or Financial Planning & Analysis.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, inventory, and cost accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of intercompany transactions, eliminations, and foreign currency considerations.
  • Experience with financial software such as Hyperion, IFS, and/or SmartView is advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proactive and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all levels of management and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting with a multinational corporate structure is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with major ERP systems, particularly strong in Excel.
  • Experience dealing with multiple currencies is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with management at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, Cost Accounting, and ERP systems, coupled with exceptional project management, analytical, and organizational skills.
