Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced accountant to oversee a team at one of the leading manufacturing facilities for Energy Equipment Capital. This role involves close collaboration with various operational staff and financial leadership, making you a vital part of our dynamic team culture. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for evaluating extensive data sets. The Senior Cost Accounting Manager will also mentor and guide their direct reports, managing a team of 2 to 3 individuals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of the team, ensuring all responsibilities are met efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively and present findings to senior management across multiple departments and locations.
  • Exhibit strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Address requests from internal and external auditors promptly.
  • Review and authorize monthly account reconciliations.
  • Analyze monthly balance sheets, income statements, and budget variances, summarizing insights for upper management.
  • Collaborate with operational and accounting teams to provide guidance on financial transactions and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Lead root cause analysis efforts and implement necessary corrective actions.
  • Oversee the annual standard cost review process and ensure accurate execution within the system.
  • Assist in the monthly evaluation of project budgets.
  • Develop automated processes to enhance reporting and data analysis efficiency.
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets for management review.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and cost accounting projects as needed.
