Position Overview

The Arbors at Dracut is a distinguished Assisted Living Community dedicated to providing exceptional care to our residents. We are currently seeking a Certified Nursing Aide or Home Health Aide to fulfill a part-time role, requiring 24 hours of service each week, with availability for every other weekend.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Resident Care Director and Wellness Nurse.
  • Deliver personal care services to residents in a compassionate, professional, and efficient manner, adhering to state regulations.
  • Accurately document all care provided.
  • Prepare and review shift change logs at the start and conclusion of each shift, providing verbal summaries for incoming aides.
  • Notify a licensed nurse of any changes in residents' conditions or needs.
  • Respond appropriately to the emergency call system.
  • Report all incidents to a licensed nurse and incoming staff members.
  • Follow established procedures for the Self-Administered Medication Management system.
  • Evaluate residents' capabilities to identify needs for additional support.
  • Assist with housekeeping tasks, including resident laundry as per schedule or necessity.
  • Perform dining room duties and assist with serving residents.
  • Support relatives, guests, and visitors as required.
  • Engage in activities programs.
  • Maintain a positive, professional demeanor and environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to fulfill responsibilities.
  • Complete all mandatory annual in-service training.
  • Comply with all OSHA regulations and safety protocols when lifting, bending, and using equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a nursing assistant or successful completion of a certified home health aide program is required.
  • Understanding of the physical and emotional needs of elderly individuals, with a genuine enjoyment of working with them, demonstrating patience and compassion to enhance their quality of life.
