Position Overview: The Certified Nursing Assistant will deliver high-quality support to individuals with developmental and psychiatric disabilities.

Work Schedule: Sunday 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, Saturday 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (20 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist individuals with daily living activities, including grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and toileting, while ensuring their comfort and dignity.
  2. Monitor and record vital signs, weight, and administer creams or ointments as needed.
  3. Observe individuals for any changes in condition or behavior and report findings to the Program Director.
  4. Provide services in compliance with DDS, CARF, and all relevant regulatory standards.
  5. Support individuals with their medical, clinical, and financial needs by identifying and securing appropriate services.
  6. Transport individuals to medical appointments and recreational activities as required.
  7. Maintain accurate daily and monthly progress notes in accordance with regulatory standards.
  8. Participate in the Individual Service Plan (ISP) meetings and contribute to annual assessments of individual goals.
  9. Assist individuals in accessing community resources and recreational opportunities.
  10. Administer medications in accordance with MAP regulations.
  11. Maintain required training certifications, including CPR/FA, OSHA, CPI, PABC (if applicable), and MAP.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma with at least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental or psychiatric disabilities.
  2. Completion of a Massachusetts-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course or equivalent education meeting state certification requirements.
  3. Current Nursing Assistant Certification in Massachusetts with active status.
  4. A bachelor's degree may substitute for CNA certification based on relevant experience.

Skills Required:

  1. Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  2. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  3. Valid driver's license with a minimum of one year of driving experience.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Frequent stair climbing is required.
  2. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  3. Must be able to operate a vehicle.
  4. Normal range of eyesight and hearing, with or without corrective measures.
