Key Responsibilities:
As a Culinary Production Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality preparation of meals for airline passengers. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and inspiring the food production team.
  • Ensuring timely performance and delivery of food items.
  • Streamlining processes to enhance accessibility, availability, cost-effectiveness, quality, and production assurance.
  • Implementing systems to maximize productivity.
  • Participating in food tasting sessions as necessary.
  • Upholding food safety standards and compliance with HACCP regulations and internal policies.
  • Managing daily operations of food production supervisors and assembly staff.
  • Facilitating communication to meet food cost objectives and ensure timely delivery of finished products.
  • Planning work assignments to guarantee on-time product delivery.
  • Balancing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Calculating labor standards based on production schedules and meal orders.
  • Maintaining budgeted labor goals, including headcount and hours worked.
  • Identifying operational challenges and proposing solutions to management.
  • Regular exposure to cold environments (35-40 degrees).

Nonessential Functions:
Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Compensation:
The salary for this position is competitive and reflects base pay only, excluding any incentive compensation. Factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training will be considered in determining base pay.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • An Associate degree or equivalent experience in a related field, with a minimum of 3 years in food production, preferably in airline catering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to follow detailed instructions and solve problems effectively.
  • Knowledge of culinary terms, procedures, and practices.
  • A valid food handler's certificate or equivalent.

Work Environment:
This position is primarily performed indoors, with noise levels varying from minimal to loud. Employees may frequently encounter cold conditions.
