Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced sales professional to join our team as a Nanochem Purifier Sales Specialist. This role will be responsible for increasing sales and market share of our purifier and abatement products within a defined territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients' lab personnel, safety departments, and procurement departments to increase sales and market share.
  • Work closely with our Specialty and Packaged Gas sales team to drive sales initiatives and achieve business objectives.
  • Conduct sales activities, including identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and managing existing customer relationships.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to management on key customer, prospect, and project information.
  • Assist in managing contracts for outside sales and follow up with monthly reports of sales and targets.
  • Answer technical questions from customers to assist in the correct product offering.
  • Work with teams to establish and maintain operating and maintenance procedures and preventative maintenance schedules for purification systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (Chemistry or Engineering preferred), or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to write and interpret technical procedures and instructions.
  • Industrial Gas Purification experience is preferred.
  • Ability to travel within the U.S. and provide after-business-hours support as needed.
Additional Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work across organizational lines to accomplish goals.
  • Carrying a cell phone and availability to plant personnel for off-hours assistance is required.
Technical Knowledge
  • Must have in-depth knowledge about purifiers, purifier materials, specialty gas, specialty gas equipment, bulk, medical and industrial cylinder industry.
  • Manufacturing of specialty gases including pure gases, gas blends, hydrocarbon blends and reactive gas blends, industrial cylinder gases and bulk atmospheric gases.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.
Training, Education and Experience
  • Bachelors of Science Degree in life sciences or chemistry ideally supported by an MBA or commercial experience within the strategic market.
  • 5-10 years' experience in sales or marketing within the life science, bio-science, pharmaceutical, chemical, semiconductor or similar technical sales position selling hazardous materials, chemicals, equipment, process control devices or process analyzers.
  • Working knowledge of ISO, Six Sigma and lean manufacturing practices.
