Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Specialist to join our team at Microsoft Corporation. As a Sales Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving the day-to-day execution of our strategic business priorities, selling best-in-class cloud services and platforms to our managed customers and building digital transformation momentum for our customers, partners, and Microsoft.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with customers to introduce digital transformation opportunities aligned with their industry.
  • Collaborate with partners and services to initiate conversations with customers on digital transformation in a single solution area.
  • Share learning on digital transformation through seminars, workshops, webinars, and direct engagement.
  • Collaborate with team members to discover new opportunities and drive incremental revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with account teams, partners, or services to track, qualify, and expand new opportunities.
  • Interface with customers and build relationships via social selling.
  • Apply Microsoft's sales process (MSP) to determine the quality of the opportunity and whether to proceed.
  • Identify opportunities to drive consumption and grow business with existing customers.
  • Identify, articulate, and facilitate the removal of blockers to consumption by partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop an understanding of external stakeholders' mapping, including decision makers and influencers.
  • Participate with account teams in communication with business or subject matter decision makers at the customer's/partner's business.
  • Implement strategies to help accelerate the closing of deals in collaboration with other team members.
  • Implement close plans to de-risk and drive predictable deal closure.
  • Collaborate with One Commercial Partner (OCP) and with a network of partners to cross-sell, up-sell, and co-sell products, solutions, and services.
  • Apply the orchestration model to support deal closure by identifying and aligning internal stakeholders and leveraging relationships with partners.
  • Research competitor products, solutions, and/or services and collaborate with the compete global black belts (GBBs) to implement strategies to position Microsoft against competitors in customer communication.
  • Collaborate with partners and resources and leverage customer insights or industry knowledge.
  • Contribute to exploring business and emerging opportunities to optimize the portfolio and support customer innovation.
  • Manage and/or orchestrate sales and delivery success through the account team and pursuit team.
  • Collaborate with extended sales team, partners, and marketing to conduct business analysis to pursue high-potential customers and develop a target list of potential business.
  • Manage the end-to-end business of the assigned territory.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience.
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND 3+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience.
