We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate EHSS Manager to join our team at KYOCERA AVX Components Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing, developing, and coordinating our global environmental, health, and safety policies, initiatives, and activities.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee global environmental assessment work, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and Remediation, remedial design plans, remedial implementation, regulatory closure, and other environmental services.
- Retain and oversee external consultants on all appropriate aspects of projects.
- Track project schedule and deliverables, prepare reports, monitor project budgets, and update management with limited supervision.
- Handle administrative tasks and demonstrate efficient project management skills.
- Support implementation and maintenance of key environmental management systems like ISO 14001 EMS and ISO 50001 EM.
- Assist with the development and implementation of strategic plans and establish goals to improve overall environmental programs and performance.
- Manage the data collection efforts for global and plant level environmental information and initiatives, including energy usage, GHGs, waste, water, and recycling.
- Spread awareness of environmental and safety management rules and standards throughout the organization and promote continuous improvement.
- Communicate with all levels of the organization, customers, legal counsel, local community leaders, regulators, and contractors as needed relating to environment programs and initiatives.
- BS Degree is required, preferably with 10+ years of responsibility for multiple sites.
- 10+ years' experience in Phase I and Phase II ESAs, site remediation and related work.
- Experience with GHG reduction planning and sustainability initiatives a plus.
- Knowledgeable in ESG disclosures, CBAM, REACH, ROHS etc. also a plus.
- Be self-directed and detail-oriented, manage confidential information and be able to work independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Good understanding and experience with O365 desktop applications.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25-50%.
