About the Position

The Costello College of Business at George Mason University is seeking a highly skilled Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting corporate and foundation partners to support the college's goals and priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate and foundation relations strategy to achieve fundraising goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate and foundation partners, including identifying new prospects and cultivating existing relationships.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to develop and implement fundraising proposals and strategies.
  • Manage a portfolio of corporate and foundation prospects, including tracking progress and making solicitations.
  • Work closely with the Central Advancement team to ensure consistent and adequate communication between the Costello College of Business and Central Advancement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize multiple requests for support.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with appropriate discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and ability to document appropriate information in a donor management database system.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three years of fund-raising experience in a complex development organization, preferably in corporate and foundation relations.
  • Writing and communications experience, preferably in higher education or a non-profit environment.
  • Experience documenting appropriate information in a donor management database system.
