Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Leader

JOB LOCATION: Redwood City, CA. Hybrid work model, typically in-office from Monday to Thursday.
ROLE SUMMARY:
Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis and Strategy, this newly established position will play a pivotal role in financial modeling related to portfolio strategy, evaluating external collaboration and partnership prospects, as well as long-term strategic planning. This role is based at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and sustain comprehensive financial models (Profit & Loss, Valuation, Net Present Value, Discounted Cash Flow) to support both short-term and long-term portfolio decision-making.
  • Provide financial expertise and create models to facilitate business development and corporate strategy initiatives.
  • Assist in the upkeep and enhancement of the long-range financial model.
  • Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to inform strategic decisions.
  • Deliver insightful financial analyses to guide portfolio planning and prioritization.
  • Collaborate effectively with various departments to align on critical assumptions, including revenue forecasts with the commercial team and probability of technical and regulatory success (PTRS) with program management.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis support as needed.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in finance, banking, or consulting.
  • Oncology experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel-based financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and strategic thinking skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively across functions.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Resourceful and proactive in identifying and resolving potential challenges.
