Financial Analyst - Redwood City, CA

We are in search of a Financial Analyst to become an integral part of our team. Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) department delivers crucial financial insights and strategic guidance to support the organization’s long-term objectives. Reporting to a Senior Manager in Finance, you will collaborate across various departments to effectively allocate and utilize resources for optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Workforce Planning Support - You will assist in coordinating the headcount planning process, analyzing trends, projections, and financial forecasts to ensure alignment with overall organizational goals.
  • Forecasting and Reporting - Engage in month-end and quarter-close activities, including the monthly analysis of actuals, forecasting, and annual planning while collaborating with various business partners.
  • Monthly Reporting Preparation - Develop presentations that offer insightful analysis, identify necessary action items, and frame decision-making effectively. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant insights and business plans, including travel budget reports for Product organization leaders.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis and Special Projects - You will take on new responsibilities and assignments as they arise, assisting with various ad hoc projects as needed, including maintaining and updating complex Excel deal analysis templates.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another quantitative discipline. Must possess US work authorization; visa sponsorship is not available.

2-5 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, accounting, or management consulting.

Proficient in Excel financial modeling and data analytics.

Exceptional communication (both written and verbal), organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Experience collaborating with multiple cross-functional teams.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a dynamic workload with shifting priorities.

A collaborative team player who can work independently, proactively, and effectively under pressure.

Ability to develop actionable recommendations and communicate results effectively to all management levels.

Familiarity with Power BI and Oracle ERP is advantageous.
