Development and University Relations Operations Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Assistant I to provide administrative support to the Development and University Relations team at the University of Tampa. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing front desk support, managing department emails, and assisting with meeting/event preparation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide front desk support, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and greeting visitors.
- Manage department emails, including responding to inquiries and forwarding messages to team members.
- Assist with meeting/event preparation, including coordinating logistics, preparing materials, and ensuring smooth execution.
- Provide clerical support to development officers and alumni team, including data entry, reporting, and other administrative tasks.
- Assist with managing student workers, including supervising and training as needed.
- Interface with the UT community and public, including responding to inquiries and providing information.
- High school diploma required; some college or professional educational courses preferred.
- Two years of office clerical experience required.
- Previous experience in an academic setting preferred.
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) required.
- Experience with a CMS (content management system) a plus.
- Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and customer service skills required.
- Ability to multi-task, attention to detail, and organizational skills needed.
- Donor database experience preferred; experience with Raiser's Edge database an advantage.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs, including Workday and Microsoft Office.
