Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Team Management
- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve housekeeping operations, guest satisfaction, and team performance.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss goals, objectives, and challenges, and provide coaching and guidance to team members as needed.
- Maintain a positive and productive work environment, and ensure that all team members are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as front office and maintenance, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Operations and Quality Control
- Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including room cleaning, laundry, and linen management.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure that rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and quality.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance guest satisfaction.
- Manage inventory and supplies, and ensure that all equipment and machinery are in good working order.
- Guest Services
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, complaints, and concerns.
- Ensure that all guest interactions are handled in a courteous and respectful manner, and that guest satisfaction is consistently high.
- Collaborate with front office staff to ensure that all guest requests are met, and that guests are aware of and appreciate the services and amenities offered by the hotel.
- Special Functions and Event Support
- Assist with banquet functions, including setup, service, and breakdown.
- Collaborate with event planners and other departments to ensure that all events are executed flawlessly and that guests have an exceptional experience.
- Administrative Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate records, reports, and data related to housekeeping operations, guest satisfaction, and team performance.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance guest satisfaction.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role within the housekeeping or hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team to deliver exceptional results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, team members, and other departments.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
- Proficient in using housekeeping management systems and software, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards, with the ability to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and to travel on occasion for meetings and training.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend, lift, and pull 50 lbs.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Corrected vision to normal range.
- Ability to drive/transport self and others, and to travel on occasion for meetings and training.
- Ability to work long hours as needed, and to manage stress and pressure in a fast-paced environment.
