Role Purpose:

The Aerospace CNC Operator is responsible for executing all tasks related to the fabrication of intricate, precision aerospace components manufactured across various production cells. This role is crucial in ensuring that productivity levels are maximized and that all operations meet stringent quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC and other machinery to fabricate precision parts while adhering to safety and quality protocols; maintain accurate records; ensure equipment and materials are adequately stocked.
  • Plan production processes by analyzing work orders, blueprints, engineering specifications, and machining parameters; interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Verify that finished products meet specified dimensions and tolerance levels.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools, templates, and fixtures to assess the dimensions of completed components for compliance with specifications.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-10 years of experience in CNC operations.
  • Proficient in basic mathematical calculations and capable of applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical scenarios. Knowledge of GD&T is essential.
  • Skilled in using measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, depth gauges, and size blocks.
