Customer Service Banking Representative

Position Overview
As a Part-time Banking Associate I, you will deliver prompt, efficient, and courteous service to ensure an Outstanding Customer Experience for all clients and team members. You will recognize customer needs and recommend suitable Bank products and services. It is essential to perform all responsibilities accurately and efficiently while adhering to established Bank policies and procedures. Candidates should be personable, service-oriented, flexible, adaptable, and passionate about assisting others. They must exhibit the ability to work independently and collaboratively, make informed decisions, and apply critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently process all customer transactions, including providing necessary overrides and approvals.
- Take ownership of customer issues and work towards timely resolutions.
- Engage with customers regularly to identify their needs and suggest appropriate products and services.
- Assist customers with routine inquiries and account maintenance requests.
- Open and close the banking center, including completing end-of-day processing.
- Support daily operational tasks of the banking center, including vault transactions, balancing, and end-of-day reconciliations.
- Comply with and complete training for all required regulations.
- Accurately and promptly complete required reports.
- Begin to learn the fundamentals of new accounts and handle more complex customer inquiries and transactions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products and services offered.
- Take initiative in personal development and seek assistance when needed.
- Represent Peoples Bancorp professionally at all times.
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily while exercising accuracy, attentiveness, good judgment, courtesy, tact, and patience. The following qualifications are essential:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred experience of at least one year in customer service and/or sales.
