Position Overview:

The Senior Vice President, Corporate Partnerships Management is tasked with formulating and executing the corporate partnerships management strategy that aligns with organizational objectives and departmental aims. This role oversees relationship management and the execution of integrated partnerships across various sports and entertainment properties. The position requires collaboration with multiple departments, including operations, finance, human resources, legal, and marketing. The individual is accountable for delivering an exceptional partnership service experience that drives retention, growth, and profitability.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and implement a strategic plan for partnership management that integrates sponsorship activation, including staffing models, revenue management, and process refinement.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental strategies and solutions to address business challenges.
  • Work closely with leaders in Corporate Partnerships Sales & Solutions to ensure the execution of revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Oversee daily partner management processes, including planning, promotional development, media strategy, financial oversight, marketing creation, event coordination, and performance tracking, necessitating cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Manage the delivery and execution of partnership assets across various platforms, including venues, experiential marketing, social media, and hospitality.
  • Effectively control all expenses related to partner activations.
  • Establish goals and objectives for the partnership management team that align with business objectives and departmental aims, focusing on enhancing retention and associated revenues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners, identifying and creating new opportunities for profitable growth.
  • Develop and lead a competitive, forward-thinking partnership management team.
  • Foster a technology-driven culture that enables strategic decision-making and resource allocation, utilizing tools such as CRM, Tableau, PowerBI, and others.
  • Employ dynamic reporting dashboards and real-time progress tracking to measure against departmental objectives.
  • Assist in creating a proactive and integrated approach to client engagement and renewal processes, enhancing internal visibility for sponsor proposals.
  • Encourage a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and commitment to quality.
  • Mentor and develop team members through a supportive and collaborative approach, exemplifying the organization's values.
  • Manage a Talent Development program to identify key talent, enhance skills, and build a candidate pipeline.
  • Assist in establishing a consistent market approach for renewal processes across all properties.
  • Create clear client designations with defined assets to facilitate upselling opportunities.
  • Develop comprehensive packages for partners that illustrate activation efforts throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership on renewal proposals.
  • Lead mid-year and year-end recap presentations.
  • Oversee all partner-related events, including networking functions and hospitality experiences.
  • Assist in defining current official categories sold, identifying open categories, and exploring emerging opportunities.
  • Help articulate our value proposition for client renewals and upselling.
  • Research industry best practices and trends to ensure competitive sales strategies.
  • Identify and create new revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Ensure timely execution of contracts following established guidelines, coordinating communication between legal, accounting, and relevant departments.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction through outstanding service and results.
  • Generate consistent proposals and presentations for the sports and entertainment division.
  • Create a premier B2B program to foster top-level relationships among clients, enhancing partnership value and facilitating quicker renewals.
  • Establish strong connections with counterparts in MLB and NHL to obtain best practices and metrics relevant to business objectives.
  • Build relationships with leadership teams to become a trusted and essential member of the organization.
  • Represent the partnership management function in prospect pitches, showcasing expertise in programs, campaigns, and idea generation.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, sports, sales, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in corporate partnership management and activation.
  • Proven leader in corporate partnership activation with a strong track record of performance and business success.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective corporate partnership strategies that meet or exceed objectives.
  • Strategic thinker with the capacity to create and execute processes and plans.
  • Strong planning, analytical, and long-term strategic outlook with proven results.
  • Successful leadership history with high ethical standards.
  • Exceptional collaboration, persuasion, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills that foster trust among peers and stakeholders.
  • Effective communication skills across all formats, with the ability to educate and inform diverse audiences, demonstrating strong influencing and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications and professional databases, with knowledge of current technologies and industry best practices.
Working Conditions:
  • Irregular and extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Exposure to moderate to high noise levels.
  • Frequent visual and auditory attention required.
