POSITION SUMMARY:

The Network Vice President-Contracts and Compliance provides senior leadership to Network value-based contracting strategy and provider membership management across a large pluralistic clinically integrated network of participating providers including employed medical groups, provider associations, independent providers, and facilities. Serves as Chief Compliance Officer for the Clinically Integrated Network ensuring execution in compliance with contractual and regulatory/accreditation standards.

Reporting into the Chief Network Services Officer, this role includes leadership oversight and direction for payor, provider, vendor, employer contracting, as well as provider credentialing and membership management systems and compliance with all governmental, payor, regulatory requirements and clinical integration and contract performance standards.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare contracting and compliance, including experience related to clinical integration, accountable care, and value-based contracting.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience evaluating and drafting value-based contract terms/language for payor/employer agreements.
  • Minimum of three (3) years combined experience managing compliance for physician network/provider association across governmental, payor, regulatory requirements with demonstrated vision and understanding of healthcare financing including development of innovative payment/financing models with health insurers and employers.
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate value proposition of clinically integrated care and experience successfully engaging providers, payors, and other partners in value-based care arrangements.
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of all business aspects of health care with particular emphasis in physician networks, including assessing and structuring physician partnerships and management of physician and hospital relationships.
  • Strong organizational, planning and implementation skills with ability to manage large, complex, simultaneous assignments with potentially conflicting priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health care laws and regulations including clinical integration standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with payor, provider, executive and legal partners to achieve mutually beneficial contract terms that advance value-based care.
  • Demonstrated excellence in generation of written reports, proposals, and summaries for a variety of audiences.
  • Proven ability to utilize structured process improvement methodologies including compliance systems.
  • Ability to assimilate industry trends and predict future relevance and applicability.
  • Strong leadership/mentoring skills applicable to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff across the System and outside the System. REQUIRED EDUCATION:
  • Juris Doctor or related degree (MBA, MHA, MHSA).
