Employee Benefits Account Manager

Position Overview:
The Employee Benefits Account Manager is responsible for addressing the employee benefits requirements of our clients in a timely and effective manner. This role involves preparing comprehensive client presentations, including claims analysis and renewal information, as well as organizing client data for marketing initiatives aimed at exploring alternative coverage options and plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the client service schedule, including onboarding new clients, managing and negotiating renewals across all coverage lines, compliance notifications and updates, 5500 filings, plan documentation (SPDs, SBCs, Wrap Documents, certificates of insurance, policies, etc.), and preparation and execution of Open Enrollment.
- Compile and deliver executive summaries for clients, encompassing claims history, benchmarking, rate renewals and exhibits, plan design alternatives, contribution modeling, and renewal suggestions.
- Manage all aspects of policy activities for assigned accounts.
- Present risks to the insurance market for quoting when necessary.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, setting expectations proactively.
- Prioritize accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness in interactions with current and prospective clients, the firm, and insurance partners, demonstrating strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Address client inquiries and collaborate with insurance partners and/or internal teams to resolve issues.
- Conduct effective enrollment meetings as required, utilizing prepared materials.
- Evaluate existing programs to determine if additional insurance lines should be incorporated, and solicit proposals from the market to meet client needs.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and insurance partners.
- Stay informed about the requirements and characteristics of all insurance partners while maintaining in-depth knowledge of the company and its online resources.
- Identify opportunities for improvement within the firm, business segment, and processes, bringing issues and discrepancies to the attention of appropriate leadership.
- Exceptional presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Current state license is required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, along with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Moderate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn other relevant insurance company and firm software systems.
