Position Overview:

The Senior Client Relationship Manager, Employee Benefits acts as a key technical resource for clients, advisors, insurance partners, and prospects, ensuring prompt, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all policy management and stewardship functions within a designated portfolio.
  • Evaluates and reports on pertinent claims data for larger accounts, identifying trends and benchmarking client data against industry standards.
  • Ensures clients adhere to compliance requirements regarding benefits and serves as a knowledgeable resource on the implications of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
  • Collects necessary information to present to the insurance marketplace for proposals, offers options, and provides well-informed recommendations.
  • Facilitates effective enrollment meetings as required, utilizing prepared materials.
  • Maintains a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness when engaging with current and prospective clients, the firm, and insurance partners, thereby minimizing the risk of errors and omissions while demonstrating exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Independently manages select accounts without direct oversight from leadership or an advisor.
  • Reviews existing accounts to assess if additional lines of insurance should be pursued or if modifications are necessary throughout the year and at renewal.
  • Fosters strong relationships with insurance partners.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of the requirements and characteristics of all insurance partners while maintaining comprehensive understanding of the company and its online resources.
  • Submits risks to the insurance marketplace for quoting as necessary.
  • Handles inquiries via phone and email regarding options and modifications to existing coverage and/or new policies.
  • Engages with clients either at the firm or occasionally at their business locations.
  • Seeks opportunities to enhance the firm, business segment, and processes, bringing issues and discrepancies to the attention of relevant leadership.
Qualifications:
  • Must obtain and maintain a state insurance license or other required licenses as mandated by the State Department of Insurance to provide risk management consulting or risk transfer solutions in states where the firm operates (or be willing and able to secure all necessary licenses within the first 90 days of employment).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance sector.
  • Proven effective presentation skills in both verbal and written communication.
  • Familiarity with relevant software applications.
  • Exemplifies the firm's core values, demonstrating behavior that aligns with the corporate culture.
Work Environment:
  • Fast-paced, multi-tasking atmosphere.
  • Some travel may be required.
