This role is open to candidates at both the engineer and senior levels, depending on experience.


Position Overview
As a Process Improvement Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive enhancements in our manufacturing processes. Your contributions will be vital in optimizing assembly ergonomics, increasing value stream capacity, refining test fixture designs, managing costs, and supporting new product development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, refine, and implement innovative manufacturing processes aimed at enhancing quality, minimizing costs, and reducing lead times.
  • Diagnose and resolve manufacturing or assembly challenges, including specialized testing, while identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions for product design improvements.
  • Guide and mentor team members in process, equipment, and analytical problem-solving approaches, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate new products for Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testing (DFT), while supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives.
  • Utilize LEAN manufacturing principles to assist teams in establishing efficient production lines and cells for both new and existing products.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering to ensure that models, drawings, and specifications meet all manufacturing, quality, and reliability standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Proficient understanding of mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes, including electro-mechanical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Statistical Analysis Software, GD&T, VSM, DFM, pFMEA, dFMEA, and Structured Problem Solving.
  • A strong passion for pursuing and implementing process improvements.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills, with a flexible and friendly approach to teamwork, always striving for optimal outcomes.
  • Knowledge of production machinery, machine programming, machining processes, and assembly tools.
  • Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks (or equivalent) and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.

Travel Requirements: Up to 10% annually.
