Position Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer plays a crucial role in the design and enhancement of quality-centric manufacturing systems, methodologies, and apparatus for the fabrication of both new and existing products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulates efficient production methodologies for circuit boards, harness systems, and electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Develops and updates work instructions to enhance manufacturability.
  • Identifies and resolves internal production challenges and customer design-related issues.
  • Collaborates on engineering initiatives to transition new products into the manufacturing phase.
  • Designs and deploys tools and fixtures essential for effective production.
  • Researches, evaluates, and advocates for new equipment acquisitions.
  • Supports process and documentation modifications as necessitated by internal and customer-driven engineering changes.
  • Interprets technical drawings and internal Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring accuracy through audits.
  • Provides specialized technical assistance to production teams.
  • Collaborates with purchasing, quality assurance, testing, and production departments to uphold product integrity.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Capability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
