As a key member of the engineering team, you will be instrumental in assessing and refining production workflows, spearheading continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Implement and uphold the organization's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and protocols.
  • Analyze machine downtime and scrap rates to uncover areas for improvement.
  • Conduct time studies on machinery to maximize production efficiency.
  • Lead projects focused on continuous improvement to boost process effectiveness and product standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot production process challenges within the manufacturing sector.
  • Support the design and execution of new production methodologies as required.
  • Address daily operational challenges, ensuring prompt and effective resolutions.
  • Carry out additional related tasks as needed to assist the production team.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across various departments, including engineering, automation, and production.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to precision.
  • Proficient in computer applications with a solid understanding of manufacturing operations and testing procedures.
  • Demonstrated mechanical skills in a manufacturing context, with the capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Education & Experience:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Two to five years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, or a combination of education and experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in leading continuous improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and principles.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
