As a Senior Specialist in Process Optimization, your role will involve analyzing and implementing innovative product development processes, associated tools, and documentation while championing continuous improvement initiatives. Your responsibilities will span from the ideation of changes to the execution of processes within Product Development teams across our global operations. In this capacity, you will support our research and development division and its collaborators in product management, mechanical engineering, and embedded systems to deliver cutting-edge products to customers worldwide. Our objective is to craft efficient and effective business processes that promote seamless collaborative communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and drive standardized processes and metrics to facilitate new product development.
  • Oversee the comprehensive planning, development, and execution of multiple intricate process development projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure organizational readiness for each process rollout.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities for process enhancement.
  • Align continuous improvement initiatives with KION's objectives and strategies in new product development globally.
  • Foster strong partnerships to synchronize activities and resolve conflicts to meet project objectives.
  • Build cross-functional teams, embracing diverse cultures, and equip them with the tools and methodologies to tackle complex challenges.
  • Lead workshop sessions, serving as an advisor to facilitate troubleshooting and address complex needs within Product Development functions across various offices.
  • Engage in transparent communication with stakeholders to encourage discussion and informed decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive process training materials and documentation to ensure clarity across departmental roles.
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or Project Management is preferred.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or Business is preferred.
  • Strong business analysis skills to comprehend and prioritize stakeholder requirements are essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in process improvement/continuous improvement; 10+ years is preferred.
  • Experience in process mapping and Business Process Mapping Notation is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge and proven ability in applying Lean/Six Sigma concepts, practices, and procedures (LSS/SS Black Belt required).
  • Experience in designing products or processes (DFSS and/or Design Thinking is desirable).
  • Exceptional team-building skills are highly valued.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and the ability to influence without formal authority.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, white-boarding, and presentation abilities.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred.
  • Fluency in English is required.
