Position Overview:

Portland State University is seeking a skilled Lead Electrical Operations Manager to oversee a proficient team of electricians tasked with the maintenance, repair, enhancement, testing, and safeguarding of electrical systems across the university campus.

This is a permanent, full-time role within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment situated in downtown Portland. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of management experience in the maintenance, repair, and construction of electrical systems or a related discipline
  • Possession of a valid General Journeyman Electrician License
  • Demonstrated capability to thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Availability to work weekends and respond to after-hours emergencies on an occasional basis
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaboration with campus community members
  • A valid state-issued driver's license
  • Successful completion of a background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid Oregon General Supervising Electrician License
  • Education, certifications, or training in facilities maintenance, project management, or a related field
  • Strong customer service skill set

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $80,112,008.00 per year
