Position Overview

Crew HR is in search of a Senior Electrical Estimator for our esteemed client, RJ Ramos Construction and Electrical Co.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare meticulously organized project scope documents, ensuring precision in all estimating.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for bid procurement and contracting.
  • Research and analyze detailed project requirements, including materials, equipment, and labor costs.
  • Gather quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating the best pricing available.
  • Formulate contingency plans and manage risk effectively.
  • Utilize estimating software to input takeoffs and maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate project status and budget updates clearly with management and clients.
  • Assist in closing bids, leading debrief meetings and documentation.
  • Assess and enhance existing systems to exceed customer and colleague satisfaction.
  • Stay informed on the latest estimating technologies and trends in the electrical construction sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, engineers, and contractors.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in public works and commercial electrical estimating.
  • Proven ability to manage administrative projects effectively.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and technical specifications.
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the United States.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment.
Preferred Qualifications

Additional qualifications that would be beneficial include:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the electrical trade.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the electrical industry.
  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes.
  • Knowledge of Procore, CRM systems, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and electrical estimating software.
