Job Summary

The University of Miami seeks a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist II to join our team in the Diagnostic Imaging Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing complex ultrasound procedures, operating radiographic equipment, and obtaining high-quality diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage scheduling and patient flow for interdepartmental procedures.
  • Supervise and perform diagnostic imaging studies under the direction of a radiologist.
  • Assist with the education and training of new physicians and technologists.
  • Develop and implement new ultrasound imaging techniques and protocols.
  • Participate in research initiatives and develop research protocols.
  • Act as a team leader and provide guidance and support to colleagues.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient information and procedure charges.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and ensure a positive patient experience.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography and/or Vascular accredited program.
  • ARDMS registered with Abdominal and Vascular certifications.
  • CPR and BLS certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in ultrasound imaging.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service.
