Position Overview

This role involves performing intricate procedures in Radiology while operating radiographic equipment to achieve the highest quality diagnostic images with minimal radiation exposure. The successful candidate will demonstrate independent judgment, creativity, and initiative, along with a strong sense of responsibility for specific areas, procedures, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage scheduling and patient flow for interdepartmental procedures.
  • Conduct diagnostic imaging studies under the supervision of a radiologist.
  • Assist in the training and education of new medical staff.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and PhD professionals to develop innovative protocols and imaging techniques.
  • Engage in research initiatives and contribute to the development of research protocols.
  • Act as a team leader on a regular basis.
  • Monitor the accuracy of charging for Radiologic procedures and supplies.
  • Provide demonstrations of Radiologic equipment for visiting medical professionals.
  • Ensure all Radiologic orders are accurate and in accordance with physician recommendations.
  • Verify patient identification and obtain necessary consents.
  • Maintain high standards of quality in performing Radiologic scans.
  • Assist with patient positioning and ensure proper technique is utilized during procedures.
  • Support radiologists during imaging and interventional procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with clerical tasks.
  • Provide education and training to student technologists.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology/Diagnostic Imaging Program.

Certification: Must possess a valid State of Florida License as a General Radiographer and be ARRT registered with certification in the primary modality.

Experience: A minimum of three years of relevant experience is required.
