Job Overview

We are currently in search of a skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment Operator to enhance our workforce.

The Heavy Equipment Operator will be tasked with executing cuts, fills, and grading operations. This role necessitates proficiency in operating Excavators, Bulldozers, Skid Loaders, Front-End Loaders, and Motor Graders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safety protocols at all times, including assessing weights and distances, maintaining awareness of surroundings, reducing hazards, and promptly reporting any incidents or damages.
  • Establish level surfaces, grade slopes according to specifications, remove materials, and effectively fill voids by following plans and/or guidance from a surveyor.
  • Interpret plans and surveyed layouts accurately.
  • Load and unload construction materials, waste, and other heavy items from and into trucks using the machinery operated.
  • Commence each workday with a thorough inspection of tires, controls, fuel, and fluids to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Engage in daily briefings with supervisors and team members, ensuring consistent communication throughout the workday.
  • Properly store and clean machinery at designated locations and complete daily work reports.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the safe operation of Heavy Civil Equipment.
  • Clean driving record is preferred.
  • OSHA 10 construction certification is preferred.
