Job Responsibilities:

Supervisory Duties:
Oversee and delegate tasks to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and support staff.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Maintain productivity levels in accordance with departmental goals.
- Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients referred to Rehabilitation Therapy.
- Stay proficient in essential skills, including evaluation techniques, therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living (ADL) training, cognitive rehabilitation, wheelchair transfers, splinting, and appropriate modalities.
- Participate in and provide ongoing education and training sessions.
- Act as a mentor for new staff members and volunteers.
- Serve as a clinical instructor after gaining one year of clinical experience.
- Ensure timely and compliant documentation in accordance with all regulations.
- Adapt to meet patient care needs, which may involve covering various rehabilitation areas within the scope of your clinical competencies.
Budget Management:
Adhere to the monthly budget for ordering equipment and supplies, ensuring timely and accurate patient billing for treatments and equipment.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in using computer systems for documentation and billing purposes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
- Current state licensure as required by the facility.
- Certification in CPR.
- Demonstrated competency in assessment and treatment across various age groups, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
