Associate Director, Family and Community Services

The Associate Director, Family and Community Services will lead the development and implementation of high-quality content area systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and standards. This role will support the department in hiring, motivating, and training staff to align with program goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement content area systems, including family child care, resource and referral, subsidy, family resource center, and workforce.
- Ensure department compliance with State of California CDE, CDSS, State licensing regulations, City and County of San Francisco, and other funders.
- Support staff development, including hiring, motivating, and training to increase professional development and align with program goals.
- Participate in creating and implementing department goals and vision with parents, staff, FCS Managers, Director FCS, CFOO, and CEO.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with funders and community partners to support organizational goals.
- Work closely with management staff throughout the Wu Yee system of services.
- Support the Director of Family and Community Services in ensuring contract compliances and program grounding in pertinent laws, guidelines, and policies.
- Collaborate with other agency programs on family and provider services.
- Manage special projects consistent with Wu Yee's strategic clarity and as assigned by the Director of Family and Community Services.
- Encourage and facilitate the professional development of all DCFS management and staff.
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Care and Education, Public Administration, Family Services, or related field, required. Master's degree preferred.
- Possess a minimum of 3-5 years experience as a supervisor/manager.
- Possess strong understanding of State and local regulations and experience drafting procedures that comply with policies from funders.
- Experience working with government agencies, private funders, and programs.
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively with and quickly gain the respect and support of various constituencies.
- Track record as an effective communicator, highly skilled in writing and speaking.
- Knowledge of child care and family support, San Francisco community resources.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Web.
- Ability to work occasional nights and evenings for community or agency events.
- Salary Range $118,000 to 120,000 annually, Full-time, exempt position.
