About the Role

The Admissions Specialist for Diversity Outreach and Strategic Partnerships plays a critical role in implementing and maintaining recruitment programming and partnerships that support the college's diversity and inclusion objectives. This position focuses on recruiting and enrolling a diverse undergraduate and graduate student body, with a focus on students of color, first-generation students, international students, and students from historically underrepresented backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic recruitment efforts that align with the college's and university's mission and goals
  • Represent the college on university, college committees, and with external constituents
  • Collaborate with the Associate Dean for Diversity and Equity and the Senior Director of Enrollment to evaluate, assess, and benchmark existing recruitment and yield efforts
  • Build effective collaborations and relationships with college, university, and community partners
  • Provide support and advocacy for students through outreach, programming, and advising throughout the application process
About the Department

The Office of Admissions and Student Services at AAP provides strategic focus and superior quality services in the promotion of the college's academic opportunities and resources. The office is co-led by the Senior Director of Enrollment and the Senior Director of Student Experience, and is comprised of collaborative teams focused on admissions, college registrar, global study, student services, career services, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters and/or confidential information
  • Ability to serve as an advocate for individuals of all ethnicities, genders, ages, and backgrounds
  • Flexibility and ability to adjust priorities as needed
  • Organized and proactive, with expertise in typical business software and new communication methods
