Job Summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Inter-organizational Education Manager. This position will play a critical role in developing and implementing an inter-organizational collaboration between Cayuga Health System and regional educational entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaboration and Partnership Development
    • Develop and maintain relationships with regional educational entities to identify opportunities for collaboration and resource sharing.
    • Coordinate the development of joint educational programs and initiatives that align with the strategic goals of Cayuga Health System.
  • Training and Education
    • Oversee the training of nurses into clinical nurse and education specialists.
    • Evaluate the performance of education specialists and provide feedback and coaching to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Resource Management
    • Identify areas of resource scarcity and excess across partners and facilitate the efficient sharing of resources.
    • Coordinate the use of clinical space, equipment, and faculty to support educational programs.
  • Outreach and Engagement
    • Perform outreach to expand the number of educational partners in the program.
    • Facilitate the development of processes to identify candidates for additional training and development.
  • Reporting and Evaluation
    • Prepare reports to characterize program achievements and barriers.
    • Facilitate the requirement of additional nurses who are interested in clinical nurse and training specialist pathway.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree with 2 or more years of healthcare experience.
    • Clinical background is a plus.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Demonstrated ability to build rapport with staff and hospital leaders.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education and Experience
    • Master's Degree.
    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
    • Registered Nurse license.
Physical Requirements
  • Work Environment
    • Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., use of computer keyboard).
    • May require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs), including boxes, equipment, IV solutions and stooping and kneeling (e.g., to pick up items from the floor, to remove and replace items on lower shelves and to file documents in lower file drawers).
    • Sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time may be necessary.
    • Must be able physically to operate the equipment used for the job.

    • Hybrid: Onsite at various locations within the region as well as remote work.
Compensation Disclosure
  • Salary Range
    • $72,000 to $82,000 per year.
