The Collaborative Education Program Manager will be responsible for establishing and nurturing partnerships between Cayuga Health System and various educational institutions. This role aims to synchronize clinical and educational training across different organizations, ensuring the effective delivery of educational content by qualified educators at Cayuga Health. The manager will assess the educational needs of partner organizations and coordinate support between programs, taking into account the scheduling and availability of resources such as clinical spaces and faculty.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the training of nursing staff into clinical nurse and education specialists.
  • Assess the performance of Education Specialists.
  • Serve as a liaison to identify resource requirements, including space, equipment, and faculty.
  • Engage in outreach efforts to broaden the network of educational partners.
  • Facilitate the collaborative development of processes for candidate sponsorship in further training.
  • Identify additional educational opportunities for staff development.
  • Compile reports to highlight program successes and challenges.
  • Support the recruitment of nurses interested in advancing to clinical nurse and training specialist roles.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure training schedules align with patient care priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • A clinical background is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to establish rapport with healthcare staff and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Registered Nurse license.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for tasks such as typing.
  • Ability to lift and carry light loads (up to 40 lbs) and perform activities such as bending and kneeling.
  • Capability to sit, walk, or stand for extended periods.
  • Physical ability to operate necessary equipment.

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid work model, involving both onsite and remote responsibilities.

Compensation:

  • Annual salary range of $72,000 to $82,000.
