The Office of Institutional Research & Planning (IRP) is dedicated to providing accurate and impartial information and analysis to support the university's strategic planning and decision-making processes. This office serves as a vital resource, producing essential reports and engaging in significant research initiatives aligned with the university's leadership goals.

Under the guidance of the Associate Vice Provost for Institutional Research and Planning, this position is crucial in enhancing the IRP's data assets, enabling informed decision-making by the university's academic leaders.

  • A comprehensive understanding of higher education objectives and processes.
  • The ability to creatively leverage data to address challenges faced by educational institutions.
  • Proficiency in relational databases, enabling you to extract and integrate data from various sources.
  • A strong commitment to teamwork, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
Additional required qualifications include:
  • A Master's Degree with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with SQL and/or programming languages (e.g., Python, Java).
  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., R, SPSS, Stata, SAS).
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new methodologies.
  • The capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • A demonstrated commitment to fostering diversity, equity, access, and inclusion.
  • The ability to build inclusive and equitable relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
Preferred qualifications include:
  • Experience in university admissions and familiarity with student data.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
