AV Systems Installation Specialist

Insight Global is collaborating with a prominent client to recruit several AV Systems Installation Specialists to support extensive ongoing and future projects.

Selected individuals will be tasked with the cabling and setup of audiovisual systems across large corporate facilities, including areas such as training rooms, conference spaces, collaborative work environments, break areas, and digital signage installations.

This role may require occasional overtime and could involve regular extended hours to meet project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct physical installation of diverse technologies in various locations. Perform a range of cabling terminations for all wire and connector types, with the ability to test completed connections.

Assist in preparing equipment racks for staging, including wire lacing, installation of power strips, grounding bars, and jack-fields.

Capable of interpreting functional design drawings, cable riser diagrams, and architectural blueprints. Support the mounting of essential equipment such as monitor mounts, ceiling speakers, microphones, and projectors. Maintain a consistent level of technical performance while demonstrating flexibility in work schedules.

Complete tasks within or ahead of established timeframes and accurately estimate task durations to meet deadlines.

Provide daily updates to the Project Manager or Site Superintendent. Capable of constructing and wiring custom designs based on engineering schematics. Handle, install, terminate, and test fiber optic cables. Print and make minor adjustments to cable labels as needed. Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness at job sites. Responsible for the upkeep of personal tools, company vehicles, and inventory of installation materials. Ensure personal licenses, certifications, and qualifications are current (specific requirements may vary by state). Keep a daily log of hours worked on specific projects for timesheet entry and performance reporting.

. Experience in commercial audio-visual integration or a related field is preferred. OSHA 30 Certification is highly desirable. AVIXA CTS and other relevant certifications are preferred. Experience with specific client equipment is a plus. Minimum of 2 years of relevant audiovisual installation or fabrication experience is required. A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory. Must possess or be willing to obtain an Electrical Trainee Card. A valid driver's license is required, along with adherence to our insurance criteria. Familiarity with a broad range of audio, video, and networking equipment is essential. Knowledge of low voltage electrical concepts is necessary. Basic carpentry and installation skills are advantageous. Proficient use and safety with power tools are required. Strong verbal communication and customer service skills are essential. Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues is expected.
