About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical CAD Engineer to join our team at Softworld, a Kelly Company. As a Mechanical CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems, fixtures, and test equipment using 3D CAD software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems, fixtures, and test equipment using 3D CAD software
- Generate and review mechanical system documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets requirements and specifications
- Develop and maintain technical data packages according to MIL-STD-31000
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in CAD design and documentation
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in CAD design and documentation
- Strong understanding of ANSI Y14.5 dimensioning and tolerancing
- Experience with SolidWorks and/or CREO
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-year degree in a relevant field such as mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering
- Experience working in a defense contracting environment
