About This Role

Pickle Robot is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge robotic systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and optimizing our hardware systems to ensure they meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our software and hardware teams to execute product designs from concept to production
  • Conduct simulations, testing, and prototyping to validate designs and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
  • Develop detailed technical drawings, CAD models, and documentation to support production and deployment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during design, production, and deployment
  • Support production teams in scaling and improving manufacturing processes for robotics hardware
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts in robot performance and reliability
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in robotics or automation
  • Graduate of a bachelor's or master's program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Proficient in CAD software, preferably Onshape
  • Experience with other parametric CAD tools is acceptable (Solidworks, Creo, etc.)
  • Comfortable building, testing, and rapidly iterating on functional prototypes of parts and assemblies
  • Adept at communicating complex concepts and writing technical documents
  • Experience evaluating design, performance, and logistical tradeoffs for hardware systems
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Experience and/or knowledge in designing for a range of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and 3D printing
