About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Representative to join our team at Dignity Health Medical Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to patients from the comfort of your own home. Your primary role will be to handle scheduling appointments, answer inquiries, and address concerns with professionalism and compassion.


This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. Ideal candidates will be adept at multitasking, possess excellent communication skills, and be dedicated to enhancing the overall patient experience.


Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and register patient appointments and/or provide information for other requests.
  • Process all phone, fax, email, and other communication channel requests with an emphasis on efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist new members with introduction to and explanation of available services, processes, and availability of providers.
  • Update patients of the status of their referral or authorizations.
  • Answer, screen, and process a high volume of incoming calls in a professional manner.
  • Direct patient access to the practice by scheduling and canceling patient appointments for multiple providers.
  • Utilize and adhere to a phone script, clinical decision trees, and scheduling criteria following department guidelines.
  • Communicate complex exam preparation instructions to patients and internal and external ordering physicians' offices.
  • Send out accurate and complete communication to physicians or other healthcare providers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:


  • Reside in Arizona, Nevada, or Texas.
  • Have a High School Diploma/GED or Official Transcripts.
  • Have basic computer skills with Microsoft Office, Google applications, and web-based software.
  • Have phone etiquette and customer service experience.
  • Be able to pass a Contact Center Final Exam after completing the Contact Center training course.

Prior experience in a patient-focused healthcare environment and high-volume multichannel contact center is preferred.
