Job Overview:

The Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in driving the marketing strategy for our client's North American market, focusing on identifying market trends, segmenting opportunities, and positioning the company's products and services.

This role is essential in aligning marketing efforts with business development, working closely with sales and technical teams to ensure commercial priorities are met.

Success in this position will rely on a deep understanding of customer needs, strong analytical skills, and the ability to execute actionable marketing strategies to fuel growth in the polymer industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies in alignment with overall company direction.
  • Analyze market data and trends to generate leads for the sales team.
  • Develop business cases to guide Product Development and Technical Service teams, ensuring focus on key commercial priorities.
  • Monitor industry trends and geopolitical influences to proactively manage business risks and opportunities.
  • Execute marketing initiatives, including website updates, advertising campaigns, and trade show participation, to grow brand recognition.
  • Directly supervise the marketing team, including Marketing Analyst, Marketing Specialist, and third-party consultants.
  • Provide strategic input and advice on company policies and procedures as a member of the commercial leadership team.
Requirements:Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related technical field required.
  • MBA or equivalent specialized education strongly preferred.
Experience:
  • 8-10 years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably in the polymer industry (masterbatch experience is preferred).
  • Strong understanding of the target markets and commercial development.
Skills:
  • Strong strategic planning and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems and think creatively.
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership ability to guide and manage marketing teams.

Work Environment:

Local travel may be required (up to 25%).

Physical demands are limited to moderate; occasional lifting or moving of objects up to 10 lbs.

Most work will be conducted in an office setting with limited exposure to noise, heat, cold, or other adverse conditions.

Reporting Structure:

This role reports directly to senior management and is part of the commercial leadership team.
