Role Overview
As a Systems Engineer specializing in Enterprise Acquisition Sales, you will collaborate closely with an Account Manager focused on new customer acquisition. Your role will involve providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the customer's zero trust journey, playing a pivotal role in defining solutions that secure their critical business objectives.

Your Contributions
Curiosity is essential in the Systems Engineer role, allowing you to view complex challenges as opportunities for innovative solutions. Your impact will be defined by:

  • Exceeding sales targets by developing and executing strategic technical account plans that address cross-platform solutions.
  • Conducting thorough discovery to articulate the key technical, operational, and commercial needs of prospects and clients.
  • Designing compelling technical and business-focused solutions that drive adoption and growth beyond the initial sale.
  • Exhibiting strong communication skills to influence through effective presentations, demos, and workshops.
  • Coordinating resources to ensure a unified approach that showcases a cohesive strategy.
  • Promoting comprehensive solutions that include PANW and/or partner professional services to expedite customer value realization.
  • Understanding the competitive landscape to effectively differentiate our leadership.
  • Investing in personal development to enhance technical and professional skills, contributing to customer success while engaging with the SE community and industry events.

Qualifications
Your background should include:

  • A deep technical understanding of data networking.
  • Experience delivering cybersecurity solutions that address technical challenges and drive new business initiatives.
  • Proven ability to influence and gain buy-in from key stakeholders in both customer-facing and internal roles; prior pre-sales experience is advantageous.
  • Expertise in creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, or validation engagements.
  • Experience as a quota-carrying sales engineer with a background in SaaS/SASE/cloud/managed/on-prem offerings is highly preferred.
  • Collaboration with Customer Support teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of sold solutions.
  • Experience with complex sales processes involving multiple buying centers and multi-product solutions is highly preferred.

Compensation
The compensation for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates receiving an offer, the expected starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) ranges from $192,000 to $264,000 annually. Additional compensation may include restricted stock units and bonuses.
