Position Title: Solution Architect

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish the target architecture for the designated project, acting as a solution architect within the agile delivery framework.
  • Design architecture for cloud platforms and/or specific vendor/SaaS applications.
  • Gain insights into the existing ecosystem to facilitate the integration of new applications or solutions.
  • Introduce contemporary architectural patterns, utilizing open-source technologies, cloud solutions, and key strategic vendor/SaaS technologies.
  • Ensure solutions align with the overarching goals set by the Enterprise Architecture teams.
  • Develop architectural reference materials and stories to guide decision-making and direction for the target solution. These materials may include solution presentations, component diagrams, sequence diagrams, non-functional requirements, and comprehensive architecture roadmaps.
  • Lead prototyping, discovery, and vendor assessment initiatives to confirm that solutions fit within the broader enterprise context.
  • Collaborate with other architecture and engineering teams to enhance and repurpose strategic solutions within the current framework.
  • Provide directional effort estimates and costs to ensure solutions align with the overall business case and long-term financial strategy.
  • Define and evolve the overall architectural landscape for platforms and products, continuously identifying platform features versus product/application-specific features.
  • Participate actively in Architecture Reviews and maintain the enterprise architecture repository.
  • Stay updated on technology tools and methodologies, mentoring team members and fostering collaboration.
  • Perform additional architecture-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in developing and architecting complex applications and integrations.

  • Strong communication skills to engage with both technical and business teams.
  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), holding an Architect certification from one of these vendors.
  • A minimum of 3 years of practical experience using modern technologies such as Serverless, low-code tools, and microservices to support various solution architectures.
  • Experience in building Microservice-based architectures, utilizing API Gateways and/or Service Mesh, and integration platform technologies for orchestration.
  • Proven experience architecting solutions involving SaaS applications like Salesforce, SAP, MDM, domain-specific solutions, and custom applications using containers and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in architecting solutions across one or more industry domains.
  • Ability to introduce new technologies and methodologies to enhance the speed of delivery for solution architectures.
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies.
  • Capability to navigate a complex, dynamic environment with multiple teams.
  • Ability to produce various artifacts and diagrams for consumption by infrastructure, network, security, application, and other enterprise teams.
  • Expertise in solution architecture across diverse application challenges, including connectivity, identity, authentication/authorization, user experience, front-end, back-end, and data analytics solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functionally in a matrix management environment.
  • Skilled in facilitating meetings to resolve issues with mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Proven experience in communicating complex architectures and roadmaps to senior business leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
