Job Summary:

The Account Representative will be responsible for managing a large customer base, optimizing market opportunities, and leveraging assets to maximize profitability. This role will also oversee budgeting functions and be accountable for achieving budget goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage inventory positions
  • Maximize profitability of assets and regions
  • Oversee all marketing aspects of assets
  • Develop supply plans for customers
  • Develop customer and supplier relationships
  • Grow book of business
  • Negotiate term supplies
  • Improve order-to-cash process
  • Market physical products and financial hedges
  • Collaborate with other regions to maximize group profitability
  • Adapt to volatile market environments
  • Take initiative to solve marketing problems
  • Review work processes for efficiency
  • Cross-train with team members
  • Communicate proactively with internal and external customers
  • Be available on call 24/7
  • Assist with special projects as assigned

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Marketing, Economics, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years work experience preferred
  • 2-3 years sales experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, with emphasis on Excel
  • SolArc Right Angle and SharePoint experience preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform well in stressful environments

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office working conditions
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing
  • Occasional overnight travel
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings
