Patient Services Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Services Coordinator to join our team at US Fertility. As a Patient Services Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our River North office, providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome patients and visitors, answering inquiries and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical staff, physicians, and management, acting as a communication center and answering telephones in a timely manner.
- Responsible for scheduling patient appointments, completing patient registration, and ensuring daily schedules are printed and reviewed.
- Focus on patient well-being and maintain HIPAA compliance.
- Re-verify patient demographics and insurance information for patients who have not been seen in 6 months or more.
- Collect co-payments and other payments due in accordance with company policy.
- Complete insurance verification stickers for new patients and inform them of minimal or no infertility coverage.
- Enter patient demographic information into the computer system with great attention to detail.
- Maintain and pull charts for the day's patients, preparing them according to standard office procedure.
- Call new patients to confirm appointments and call no-show patients.
- Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal, financial, and insurance information.
- Batch encounters and payments, prepare daily bank deposits, and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Oversee the flow of waiting areas, monitoring patient wait times and communicating delays to patients.
- High School Diploma required, Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, management, staff, and other customers.
- Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to use independent thinking, sound judgment, and creativity when resolving issues.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and effectively handle challenging situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel between clinic locations as needed.
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer, knowledge of select medical software programs including NextGen preferred.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism, composure, and an individualized, compassionate approach to patient care.
