Job Summary:The Patient Services Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Welcome patients and visitors, answering inquiries, and directing them to the appropriate staff member.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical staff, physicians, and management, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Schedule patient appointments, complete patient registration, and verify insurance information.
- Ensure daily schedules are printed, and patient accounts are up-to-date, including co-payments and insurance verification.
- Provide exceptional customer service, resolving issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
To be successful as a Patient Services Coordinator, you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a hospital or medical setting, preferably in a patient services or administrative role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities, handle challenging situations, and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of medical software programs, including NextGen, preferred.
