Key Responsibilities
  • Support loan officers in tasks related to customer service, loan origination, and referral relationships.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for licensed activities on behalf of the loan officer.
  • Coordinate and confirm appointments for the loan originator and manage their calendar efficiently.
  • Provide administrative support, maintaining and updating various client databases, and sending pre-qualification links on behalf of the originator.
  • Assist the originator in completing accurate and thorough loan applications (1003).
  • Review the customer's credit and financial details to identify suitable loan products.
  • Pull credit reports for loans assigned to the originator.
  • Run AUS findings and prepare the Initial Fee Worksheet.
  • Prepare web applications, update credit reports, and assist with other relevant tasks.
  • Follow up weekly with pre-approved clients and referral sources to gather status updates.
  • Stay current with company-approved programs and software, and implement new systems for the team and clients as necessary.
  • Provide marketing support by coordinating advertising materials, obtaining compliance approval, and distributing them as needed.
  • Track key loan transaction dates and ensure timely responses.
  • Send out loan forms, disclosure agreements, and other required documents for customer completion and signature; manage the document collection process.
  • Maintain the originator's database by tracking active loans and entering relevant data as required.
  • Ensure continuous communication with customers to follow up on loan applications and address inquiries while delivering excellent customer service.
  • Assist in collecting and preparing loan applications with all required documentation for processing.
  • Order 4506T, SSA, credit supplements, AccountCheck, and Work Number as needed.
  • Submit loan applications for processing, helping resolve any file issues, and supporting the processor in clearing any loan conditions.
  • Review the Closing Disclosure (CD) to confirm that fees and cash at closing align with the customer's expectations.
  • Provide necessary support throughout the production and underwriting process.
  • Keep referral sources updated on the status of active loans, ensuring compliance with Benchmark's policies on consumer privacy and information safeguarding.
  • Respond to customer inquiries related to active loans or loan application status.
  • Act as a main point of contact for the customer, ensuring they are kept informed throughout the loan process while adhering to Benchmark's policies regarding the SAFE Act and information privacy.
  • Price loans in accordance with Benchmark's policies and communicate fees to the operations team.
  • Provide rate quotes and manage rate lock commitments for customers.
  • Maintain strong relationships with referral sources through prompt responses and excellent customer service.
  • Send thank-you cards to referral sources and new clients as a courtesy.
  • Collect required supporting documentation from customers and gather materials for pre-approval.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and referral sources, ensuring both parties are kept informed throughout the process.
  • Discuss product features and details with customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
