The Philanthropy Associate is responsible for working with our managers, directors, and vice presidents to administer and coordinate activities and initiatives, completing projects as assigned. This position requires excellent project management and organizational skills, as well as the ability to think independently and work effectively in a team environment.

Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to support our fundraising efforts by administering and coordinating philanthropy projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in a fundraising, community outreach, healthcare, or development position, preferably in a non-profit organization.
  • The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Raiser's Edge database, as well as the ability to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • This role involves developing and maintaining productive relationships with donors, prospects, volunteers, vendors, and team members. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to establish and maintain working relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • As a member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and executing project work plans, revising as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements. You will also participate in professional development opportunities to continuously strengthen your leadership capabilities.
  • You will represent and provide support for Northwestern Memorial Foundation at various events related to donor cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising activities. This includes interacting with donors and constituents both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

The Philanthropy Associate will perform a range of responsibilities including:

  • Developing and implementing effective communication strategies to engage donors and stakeholders;
  • Cultivating and stewarding major gift donors to ensure long-term support for our mission;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan and execute donor recognition and stewardship events;
  • Researching and staying up-to-date on current trends and best practices in fundraising and event planning;
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports to track progress and outcomes.

Estimated Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
