Job Description:

The role of the Public Sector Account Executive is to focus on developing new business with existing customers and acquiring new customers across a focused Named Account List. This involves working closely with our Sales Leadership, Internal Support Teams, and Training and Development Teams to position SHI's Innovative Solutions and World Class Support to their Target Customer List.

This position requires a home office set up, but candidates must reside in a dedicated territory within the state of Georgia to support business needs. The Account Executive will spend at least 50% of their time outside of an office setting meeting with existing and potential customers, identifying new opportunities, networking, and following up on potential leads.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and comfortable working with limited direction and oversight. They should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, time management, planning, and organization skills. A strong consultative sales background and ability to prospect, negotiate, and close deals are also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop business with existing customers and establish new customers based on targeted sales techniques
  • Identify, create, develop, and manage opportunities in the sales pipeline and sales management platform to achieve sales targets and goals
  • Understand customers' business objectives, IT priorities, and initiatives
  • Position SHI's portfolio of products, solutions, services, and capabilities
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with current and new customers and partner contacts

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of successful IT sales experience
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience required
  • Documented history of new business development

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $125,000 - $250,000, which includes a base salary, commission, and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. Benefits may include medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
