Overview of Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Logistics Appointment Coordinator to join our team at Old Dominion Freight Line. This role involves scheduling appointments for current and potential customers or clients in a fast-paced environment via phone, email, and records time and date of appointments in the AS400 system database.

">Key Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming calls and place outgoing calls to customers to schedule pickups and deliveries
  • Enter appointments in the computer in a timely manner
  • Provide general customer service by responding to emails, status of shipments, helping customers correctly complete Bill of Ladings and label freight, etc.
  • Qualify leads and book new business
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in the transportation industry
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with AS400 preferred
