Job Overview

WSP is excited to announce an opportunity for a Vice President of Architectural Services. This role will focus on leading projects within our Transportation Facilities Division. Join a dynamic team dedicated to addressing client needs and overcoming challenges in the architectural landscape.

Your Responsibilities
  • Engage in a diverse range of public and private sector projects, including structures such as Parking Garages, Rail Transit Stations, and Airport Facilities.
  • Key duties encompass:
    • Overseeing the creation and management of architectural designs and construction documentation for various project delivery methods.
    • Evaluating building materials and methods to develop innovative and functional design solutions.
    • Ensuring compliance with architectural standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Mentoring and guiding architectural team members.
    • Conducting site assessments and inspections, compiling detailed reports.
    • Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, civil, and MEP engineers.
    • Providing quality assurance and quality control reviews.
  • Support projects through the construction phase, offering necessary services.
  • Contribute to the development of sustainable and resilient architectural practices.
  • Participate in business development efforts, including proposal preparation.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Architectural licensure in one or more U.S. jurisdictions.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction documentation standards and technical detailing.
  • Proficiency in software such as REVIT and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of building codes and regulations, with excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various schedules and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Architecture.
  • LEED Accreditation.
  • Experience with architectural software tools such as MicroStation, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp.
