Who we are looking for

We are in search of a driven individual to spearhead Transformation Initiatives related to GD Simplification. The ideal candidate will serve as a Loans Subject Matter Expert (SME) and take on the role of Product Owner for our Loan HQ team. This position involves engaging with our Loan Servicing teams and IT support teams to enhance the automation of our loan offerings and facilitate the rollout of the Loan HQ Dashboards to the organization.

The ultimate objective of Loan HQ is to eliminate all manual and offline processes associated with loans, creating a comprehensive Loan HQ dashboard that encapsulates all loan-related processes and their servicing.

What you will be responsible for

As a Product Owner, your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading design discussions regarding the Loans product with stakeholders at State Street, including clients, vendors, and IT.
  • Driving execution for key milestones across various workstreams efficiently and cost-effectively, while being accountable for the next-generation design of innovative solutions for our Loan HQ platform.
  • Acting as the subject matter expert for multiple technology-business functions related to Loans, or enlisting SME expertise as necessary.
  • Collaborating with business analysts and users to gather requirements and draft stories in Agile methodology to guide milestones toward the target end state.
  • Working with business analysts and the development team to refine requirements and establish Acceptance Criteria for stories.
  • Coordinating with QA and business teams for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Business User Acceptance Testing (BUAT).
  • Collaborating with business teams and developers to plan production installations.
  • Communicating progress and timelines to senior management as required.
  • Being accountable for the delivery of milestone dates.

  • Understanding of the collaboration between service providers and investment manager clients within the loan ecosystem.

  • Proficiency in navigating SSB architecture and structure related to IT deployment projects.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics-related fields.
  • 5 years of experience in systems migration projects.
  • 10+ years of experience working with loan products.
